Im quite in favour of this and will be doing it to MI next year, Agument for is if you can download the film and burn your own DVD whats the problem ?

Im still confident, and Despin my film will be downloadable so you can burn onto a DVD, re piracy on a project of my scale , all i can see that is being good distribution and getting my name out,

Also availiable from the site will be a DVD copy with shitload of extras which you can only get on the DVD via mail order. not the downloadable.

also im intending my film to be availibale for download for the bargain price of ?1, which if you add the cost of a blank DVD makes a pretty good deal,

The thing is "they're" never gonna let you do that. Because once you have downloaded it what's to stop you burning a dvd for your mates? Or burning a whole bunch of them and selling them down the market?


If this ever takes off it will be when our home computers are a bigger part of our entertainment system. Tivo style. Then you will pay for a movie, streem/download the flick. Then be given a set number of times it can be viewed. Or a time limit in which to watch it before it wipes it's self.

Of course there will be people hacking and cracking their way into keeping the movies or getting them for free. I guess it's gonna be a pretty much constant battle.

But it will happen. It's just a matter of time.
